ABOUT THE BOOK
110 YEARS OF TRELOAR COLLEGE
When William Purdie Treloar became Mayor of London at the begining of the 20th century, he had a dream of building a hospital and school for the sick children of London. He found a site at Alton, and set about making his dream come true.

Now, over 100 years later, the Treloar College is still changeing children's lives, giving them a sense of indepenence and hope for the future.

In between, hundreds of staff and thousands of students have contributed towards the success of the college. I hope this book reflects the true social history of such an exceptional establishment..
TELLING THE STORY
So how do you tell the story of such an achievement, we asked both present aand former staff and students to tell the story for you. This book reflects the positive impact the college has had on their lives.

As a former student myself, it has been a privelidge to put together the stories included in this book. Treloar's has been a special place for over one hundred years, and continues to be so. I hope you enjoy reading the book.
